The time has come

I believe the time has come when the patience of God has been worn thin with those who teach and preach false doctrines, and they will no longer be excused and overlooked. They will instead be given a last chance to repent and either seek God for the truth or seal themselves in the condemnation they have brought upon themselves.

Consider these verses of Scripture:

Exodus 34:

12 Watch yourself that you make no covenant with the inhabitants of the land into which you are going, or it will become a snare in your midst

13 But rather, you are to tear down their altars and smash their sacred pillars and cut down their Ashram

14 — for you shall not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God—”

Zechariah 1:

14 So the angel who was speaking with me said to me, “Proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, “I am exceedingly jealous for Jerusalem and Zion.”’

Every day of the year armchair preachers and teachers are peddling their doctrines to all who will listen. They specialize in offering every one what they want to hear.

They say such things as “You can declare and decree the promises of God,”; and, “you need not worry about sin, because all your sins are forgiven, past, present and future,”; and, “Do you need healing. Do you need money? Do you need a house or a car? Claim it! Claim it! Claim it! You have a right to it!” (These people think we are still under law, by which, if we can prove we are entitled to something, we can lay claim to it.)

Christendom is riddled with blowhards such as these, who arrogantly tell people to send their demands to God because He is obligated to obey them. After all, He promised, didn’t He? In so doing, they raise themselves up to a level with God, something the only begotten Son of God dared not do when the devil was telling Him to claim the promises of God in Matthew chapter 4.

From the Scriptures above we can see that God is a jealous God, and wants His children to stay away from influences such as I have mentioned; that is, armchair preachers and teachers who make up their own interpretations of the gospel, and do so in ways that will entice  people to follow them. (By armchair, I mean self-appointed, whether ordained or not.)

The Lord will allow them to continue peddling their falsehoods, while they march themselves straight to the depths of hell. The Lord loves His people and those who have been, and those who are still, misleading them, will pay a big price.

In the meantime, the Lord is awakening those who love the truth and removing all false doctrines from their hearts and minds through His servants preaching and teaching the truth. He has a remnant of servants and a remnant of believers, and He will deliver them from the snares of all the imposters who are posing as ministers and teachers of the word.

The hypocrites and the saints will continue to grow together; the true believers will learn and adhere to the truth, while the hypocrites continue running after every wind of doctrine that blows by.

As Paul said, the time has been shortened. Today is the day. It is already at hand, and its light is uncovering all the impostors and all the false teachers who prey upon the children of God. The clouds are beginning to thunder, and the spring rain is about to fall; the harvest is just ahead.

Soon the Son of Man will send His angels to gather the tares, and remove all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness from His kingdom.

Come, Lord Jesus.
