Many people today think the five positions of ministries are no longer needed.
But here is what Jesus thinks:
Ephesians 4:11-14:
11 And He gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, some as pastors and teachers,
12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,
13 UNTIL we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,
14 so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by waves, and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes.
Have we attained to the unity of the faith?
Are we unified in our knowledge of the Son of God?
Has the church reached maturity?
Does the church measure up to the stature which belongs to the fulness of Christ?
Or, are people still being tossed to and fro by the waves, and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes?
I still hear and see many people proclaim things untrue, while at the same time insinuating they were from God when in reality they are spreading false doctrines.
Many think the Lord no longer needs apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers, but He thinks otherwise, so to His glory, He will keep them coming, UNTIL… we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes.
