Perilous Times

It seems that many Christians think the latter rain, aka spring rain, will be a massive move of the Holy Spirit across the earth with extraordinary miracles, etc. I’m not so certain about this. The only thing I have been told about the latter rain is that the Holy Spirit will draw the chosen of God to the truth, laying waste false doctrines as He does this. This may very well increase healings and miracles, but I don’t think to the extent some think. I do, however, admit that I could be wrong about the extent the Holy Spirit will work. There may be more to be revealed.

Satan and his workers have infiltrated our churches and filled them with outrageous doctrines, such as, when Jesus received all authority in heaven and on earth, He gave that same authority to us. The Word says nothing about this. (When Peter healed the lame man at the gate, he did so through faith in the name of Jesus, not authority, Acts 3:16). It is a ploy of Satan to get us to lift ourselves up to God’s level. The name it and claim it, and declare it and decree it, doctrines are no more than lies perpetrated on the Christian people. A quick study of the devil’s intercourse with Eve, and his intercourse with Jesus in the wilderness, and one can see the liar’s modus operandi.

False doctrines that have been taught in the church will soon be laid bare to God’s chosen people, and they will flee from them. Those who have not received the love of the truth will flock to the false doctrines because they will receive a deluding influence from the Lord our God, and will fall prey to the power and signs and false wonders of the lawless one, 2 Thessalonians 2:8-12. Many who are looking for physical signs may get caught up in the signs and false wonders accompanying those who perish. These are very perilous times.

We must be diligent to awake from sleep and walk in the light as Christ is in the light; otherwise, we might not know it’s raining when the Holy Spirit moves.
