The desire of women

“And God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them,” Genesis 1:27.

Many things today point to the end of days, but none as cleverly disguised as the movement of women insisting they be regarded as equal to men. More and more women are raising themselves up, claiming they are equal to men. Some think they should be allowed to do anything a man can do. Others want total equality with men in every aspect of their lives. They don’t believe in being submissive to a man.

Daniel 11:37 tells us the man of sin, or man of lawlessness, who is to be revealed in the end times, will have no regard for the desire of women. Many suppose this to mean he will be against women. However, it does not say he will be against women; it says he will have no regard for their desire. Genesis 3:16b speaks of the desire of women, “Yet your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you.”

So in these last days powers of darkness are disregarding the desire of women [men] and they are doing it by uplifting women to a lofty place where they don’t belong. Thus, many women today are forsaking their desire for their husbands, and are blindly going against the will of God, raising themselves to the level of men.

There is also another movement today that is claiming that God is raising up an army of women to usher in the awakening and the coming of Christ. This movement is satanically driven, having been started by women who refuse to submit to the position in which they have been placed in the kingdom of God. One who heralds this movement claims to have had several experiences in heaven, one in which she claims to have learned there is no gender bias in heaven. She now preaches that since there is no gender bias in heaven, there should be no gender bias on earth. She uses the Lord’s prayer as her proof, ‘thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.’ This lady insinuates that these words, on earth as it is in heaven, and her so-called experience, nullify Paul’s teachings concerning a woman’s place in the church.

Nevertheless, the Bible is still the word of God, and it still says man is the head of a woman. It is still true man was not created for the woman’s sake, but woman for the man’s sake. It is still true a woman is not to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet; and that she quietly receive instruction with entire submissiveness. “For it was Adam who was first created, and then Eve. And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman being quite deceived, fell into transgression. But women shall be saved through the bearing of children if they continue in faith and love and sanctity with self-restraint,”  1 Timothy 2:13-15.

God is not inconsiderate of women, is He? His purpose for them does not diminish them, does it? On the contrary, He has appointed them to a place of great honor and high esteem; for His word says, “You husbands likewise, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with a weaker vessel, since she is a woman; and grant her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered,” 1 Peter 3:7. And also, “It is much truer that the members of the body [of Christ] which seem to be weaker are necessary; and those members of the body, which we deem less honorable, on these we bestow more abundant honor,” 1 Corinthians 12:22,23a. Thus, women are to be treated with great concern and much tenderness, and are to be given great honor and high esteem. This is the will of God.

Women are to be loved and cared for by men as the church is loved and cared for by Jesus. Ephesians 5:25-33 speaks to how precious a woman is in the eyes of God and how she is to be treated, “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her; that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she should be holy and blameless. So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself; for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church, because we are members of His body. For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh. This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church. Nevertheless let each individual among you also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see to it that she respect her husband.

We are to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ, 1 Corinthians 11:3. This is the divine order that leads to peace, security, and love in its highest form. It is the will of our God.

And God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” There is no inequality between men and women in the kingdom of God; both are equal, male and female. Only their purposes are different.
