The Word of God

When God created man, He made him in His own image, and foreordained man to sin and thereby stain that image. Before time began He purposed to reconcile man back to that holy image through the logos, the Word, or the expression of the thoughts of the Father through the Spirit [see the next paragraph]. In other words, the Word (logos) who was in the beginning with God was Christ in us, the hope of glory. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The English word ‘Word’ comes from the Greek word ‘logos’.

3056 lógos (from 3004 /légō, “speaking to a conclusion”) – a word, being the expression of a thought; a saying. 3056 /lógos (“word”) is preeminently used of Christ (Jn 1:1), expressing the thoughts of the Father through the Spirit.

3056 (lógos) is a common term (used 330 times in the NT) with regards to a person sharing a message (discourse, “communication-speech”). 3056 (lógos) is a broad term meaning “reasoning expressed by words.”

The word of God is the word of God. It contains 66 books. It is the written version of the Word that was in the beginning with God. The Word is God’s mystery, which is Christ in you, as Paul pointed out:

Colossians 1:25-27,

25 Of this church I was made a minister according to the stewardship from God bestowed on me for your benefit, that I might fully carry out the preaching of the word of God

26 that is, the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations; but has now been manifested to His saints,

27 to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Please note: The mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations is Christ in you, and this mystery is the Word.

The Word is not a bunch of words put together to form a book. It is simply the mystery of God, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. It is the expression of God’s thoughts and feelings that were formed before time began. Hence, “In the beginning was the Word…”

Therefore, the Word is the entirety of God’s mystery, from beginning to end. Thus, “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty,” Revelation 1:8. “And He said to me, It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end,” Revelation 21:6. “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end,” Revelation 23:13.

In summation:

The Word is the mystery of God which is Christ in you. This mystery was formed by God prior to the creation. It was formed by the expression of the thoughts of God. In that expression, Jesus came into being as the central part of God’s mystery, the only begotten Son of God from the seed of the Holy Ghost. There could be no Christ in us, without Jesus.

When the mystery was formed, the Word came into being for it was the mystery. When God began the creation, in the beginning, there was the Word (His mystery, the Alpha and the Omega). It was with Him, and it was Him.

In God, all of mankind lives and moves and has its being, or exists. In other words, the expression of the thoughts of God became reality at the creation. His mystery is one thing and one thing only – Christ in you. The entire word of God bears witness to Christ in us. The Bible contains the mystery of God.

God is love and God is Spirit. He speaks in spiritual words. The Word is the mystery of God, which is Christ in you. Therefore, the mystery, or Word, is Christ. The entire Bible testifies to this.
