John 11:49-53,
49But a certain one of them, Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, said to them, “You know nothing at all, 50nor do you take into account that it is expedient for you that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation should not perish.” 51Now this he did not say on his own initiative; but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus was going to die for the nation, 52and not for the nation only, but that He might also gather together into one the children of God who are scattered abroad. 53So from that day on they planned together to kill Him.
John14:10,
10“Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works.
John16:12-15,
12“I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13“But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. 14“He shall glorify Me; for He shall take of Mine, and shall disclose it to you. 15“All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said, that He takes of Mine, and will disclose it to you.
From the Scriptures above we can see this High Priest and the Son of God and the Holy Spirit did not, and do not, speak on their own initiative. They spoke as the Father led them.
How is it people today think they can speak on their own initiative? Many say we must claim promises. Others say we can declare and decree things into being. They use Job 22:28 as proof. But in Job 42:7 God says,
“My wrath is kindled against you and against your two friends, because you have not spoken of Me what is right as My servant Job has…”
So those who declare and decree things are doing it of their own initiative, and God said it was wrong.
Many are called, but few are chosen. Many claim to do the works of God, but few walk by the Spirit and are led by Him. Romans 8:14, For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. It stands to reason that those who are not led by the Spirit are not legitimate sons of God. They are what the Bible calls illegitimate children, Hebrews 12:8.
What I have said in this letter is not going to be received by most people because God has given them over to their own desires, allowing them to spread their poisonous ideas and beliefs to other lawless ones who also think more of themselves than they do of God.
Even though this letter will be rejected my many, it is true. Those who believe they have the authority of Jesus walk in fallacies within their own minds. Claiming to have the authority of Christ is one of the most arrogant things I’ve ever seen. How dare they set themselves up to His level. Christ is the head of every man, not man’s equal. No man has the authority of Christ.
God has put Jesus Christ in charge of everything.
