A Treasure in Heaven

Around 40 years ago I was visiting a lady and she and I were talking about Jesus. All of a sudden I saw a demon moving counter-clockwise around her head. When it would come around from the back of her head it would look right at me. There was pure hatred in that demon’s eyes. Each time it looked at me the lady would turn her head away from me. She was sitting across the room from me. After the demon made three or four trips around her head she blurted out, “I don’t know why, but I can’t look at you.”

I didn’t know what to say, so I didn’t say anything. After I got home that evening I sat on our couch and began thinking about what I had seen that day. The Lord quickly told me the lady I had talked to was possessed by the demon I had seen and He led me to cast it out of her. I spoke to that demon who was then on the other side of town from me. I told it to leave her in the name of Jesus.

A few minutes after doing this I walked into our kitchen and the demon I had seen circling the lady’s head on the other side of town that afternoon came flying past the back of my head and went straight out the back door of my house. I felt the hatred the demon had for me once again.

Almost immediately an angel appeared beside me – a very tall angel – and he reached up through the roof of our house with something in his hand. I watched as he put the object in his hand on what looked like a shelf. He turned to me and said, “You have a treasure in heaven; a pearl is being laid up for you.”

Our phone started ringing and it was the lady whom I had seen the demon circling her head. She was ecstatic and said, “Something just happened. I feel free for the first time in years.” I told her about my seeing the demon circling her head earlier and that the Lord had just told me to speak to the demon and tell it to leave her, which it did. [She knew nothing about the demon until after it was gone.]

The next morning I looked up the meaning of the lady’s name, Rita. I was dumbfounded. It meant ‘a pearl.’ I have a pearl awaiting me in heaven. I don’t deserve it. All I did was obey God and speak a few words based on faith in the name of Jesus.

Our God is wonderful and our Shepherd watches over each and every lamb.
